The third track, ‘This A Bop’ is made to get everyone up on the dance floor and bopping to this fire beat from K-Drama. Emcee Monte lays down a smooth, precise flow and gets into a groove that does not stop.
The fourth and final track on the EP is titled ‘Sinking’. Emcee Monte raps about the struggles of depression, waking up to suicidal thoughts and feeling like you are trap in a deep pit of despair and sadness. Jammin' with the Boombox vol. 2 celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop culture. The album is full of lyrics that drop knowledge of where Hip Hop started and how we can continue that legacy, hard hitting lyrics that boast of greatness and the struggle artists face to keep the essence of the culture alive today, as well as a range of hard, boom bap beats with the spirit and fire of the Golden Age of Hip Hop.
Chicago’s Emcee Monte is a practitioner of the Hip Hop culture and brings his knowledge of classic Hip Hop flavor and style to this album. He takes us back to the golden era with his break-beat driven bangers but also keeps the modern era vibe throughout. It takes you back, it makes you think of what comes next, it makes you dance, it makes you rock. This album is an ode to the CLASSIC so if you are a Hip Hop head, a breaker or a lover of the culture, this is for you.
