Jammin' with the Boombox, Vol. 2
50 years of Hip Hop
Jammin' with the Boombox vol. 2 celebrates 50 Years of Hip Hop culture. The album is full of lyrics that drop knowledge of where Hip Hop started and how we can continue that legacy, hard hitting lyrics that boast of greatness and the struggle artists face to keep the essence of the culture alive today, as well as a range of hard, boom bap beats with the spirit and fire of the Golden Age of Hip Hop.
Chicago’s Emcee Monte is a practitioner of the Hip Hop culture and brings his knowledge of classic Hip Hop flavor and style to this album. He takes us back to the golden era with his break-beat driven bangers but also keeps the modern era vibe throughout. It takes you back, it makes you think of what comes next, it makes you dance, it makes you rock. This album is an ode to the CLASSIC so if you are a Hip Hop head, a breaker or a lover of the culture, this is for you. Take this musical journey in celebration of the legacy, the culture and 50 years of greatness. Hip Hop Don't Stop!

Jammin' with the boombox, vol. 1
birth of Hip hop
Chicago-based emcee, producer, poet and dancer Emcee Monte delivers an old-school-influenced album which doubles-up as the soundtrack to his concept-driven concert based around Hip-Hop’s history.
Paying homage to pioneers such as Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, and the Rock Steady Crew, whilst also offering a respectful nod to the likes of Common, Nas, Slum Village and others, “Jammin’…” celebrates the incredible culture which has had such a huge impact on so many over the years.
